Sub: Govt. Sarvodya Kanya Bal Vidyalaya, Gokulpur, Delhi illegally denies Re-Admission to Rakhi Jain and Ritika Jain in classes VIII and IX respectively

Dear Sir

We have the honour to bring to your kind notice that Kumari Rakhi Jain and Kumari Ritika Jain both daughters of Shri Rakesh Kumar Jain R/o B 34,Meet Nagar, Delhi-110093(M-9818909002) were studying in Govt. Sarvodya Kanya Bal Vidyalaya, Gokulpur in classes VIII and IX respectively in the academic year 2008-09.

Unfortunately both these girls failed in their annual examinations thereafter despite best efforts of their parents to get these girls re-admitted in the said school, in the academic year 2009-10 the school did not grant them re-admission resulting in dropping out of these young girls and they could not study at all during a year

2009-10.

The parents have now been approaching the said school for re-admission of these girls Kumari Rahki Jain and Kumari Ritika Jain in classes VIII and IX respectively. But the principal is very adamant and has flatly refused to grant re-admission in academic year 2010-11 to these girls.

It is submitted that the action of the principal of the said school is declining re-admission in the academic year 2010-11 to these girls is not only illegal, unjust,anti-child right but also unconstitutional and contrary to provisions of Delhi School Education Act 1973.

It is very unfortunate to say that the Govt. of Delhi though publicly making tall claims for the educational development of the girl child but in reality the right of the girl child are ignored or neglected by the school authorities. Nobody in the administration is realizing that if these girls are not allowed to continue their studies, what would be the national loss.

The parents of these girls have approached to Delhi Commission to protection of child right. Besides it, these girls student have approached us with written complaints dated 24/06/10 requesting for help. Copies of these letters are enclosed hereto for your ready reference

It is therefore requested that the appropriate action may kindly be taken in this matter ensuring forthwith re-admission of these girl students namely Kumari Rakhi Jain and Kumari Ritika Jain in classes VIII and IX respectively in Govt. Sarvodya Kanya Bal Vidyalaya, Gokulpur, Delhi-110093

With Regards
