“GTB HOSPITAL NOT PROVIDING MEDICINES TO POOR PATIENT”

Ashok Agarwal, member of the Economically Weaker Section’s Monitoring Committee, has written to the Delhi Health Department to intervene in the matter.

Mr. Agarwal said: “Bittu is an in-patient at the hospital and has liver, kidney, and HIV problems. He has an old widowed mother, who works as a maid and hardly earns Rs. 3,000 a month – the only income for the family. He has two daughters aged six and seven.”

He alleged: “The hospital is not providing the prescribed medicines and his mother has been asked to purchase it from the market, which is not at all possible.”
